DAKOTA JOHNSON: A DAY AT HOME IN CALVIN KLEIN ESSENTIALS

Not long ago, Calvin Klein gifted us an iconic campaign starring Jung Kook, images that will remain etched in our memories for centuries to come. Today, the brand surprised us with what we could consider the "counterpart" to that masculine series, featuring actress Dakota Johnson as the embodiment of the "less is more" philosophy.
For this campaign, Johnson stepped in front of Gordon von Steiner's lens wearing Ultralight, Icon Cotton Modal, and Perfectly Fit Ultralight Bra pieces. Denim is also a crucial part of the styling: the Archive High Rise Slim Jean, the Relaxed Trucker, and the Baggy Jean—wardrobe essentials that celebrate the comfort and confidence of feeling good in your own body—make a special appearance.
The idea behind the campaign stems, as mentioned (and as the images make quite clear), from "less is more" and introduces us to a day in Dakota's life within "her home," away from the public eye. Calvin Klein's signature conception of sensuality complements the idea of "living with confidence" (and with Dakota's physique, who wouldn't?).
"Calvin Klein jeans and underwear have a timeless quality that makes everything feel perfect the moment you put them on," said Dakota Johnson. "When a woman is home alone, working, reading, or doing whatever, it can feel quite liberating and sensual. Channeling that energy and combining it with Calvin Klein’s iconography felt both unique and classic. I love that this campaign celebrates being comfortable, free, and sexy on your own terms. Sometimes, a woman simply BEING is the sexiest thing."
So far, the passing months have shown that Calvin Klein is in the lead to be crowned the brand with the best campaigns of 2026. We shall see what the rest of the year brings.
